Head Trainer/Owner
Brittany Harpool grew up riding in the area competing in the Hunters/Jumpers and the Equitation. She finished her Junior career at AHSA Medal Finals and accepting a riding scholarship at Virginia Intermont College (now Emory and Henry). There she had the opportunity to compete on the IHSA, IDA, ANRC and International Student Riding Teams.
After college Brittany had the opportunity to work for Wilhelm Genn and learn the ins and outs of managing a string of Grand Prix horses on the road. Afterwards she worked for Joey Brumbaugh to learn managing and preparing horses for clients. She then spent two years primarily as a professional rider where she competed at the Grand Prix level and at the Inaugural Derby Finals in Kentucky. At this time she decided it was time to start her own program that focused on quality care and training for horse and rider with individualized programs for each pair.
Olympia Equine Ventures, LLC has to continue to learn and grow and has found a balance with groundwork, flat work and over fence training. We strive for our horses and riders to be well rounded and happy so they have long and successful careers in whatever they do.

Shanna started riding in her hometown of Chicago, IL before moving to Kansas City. In high-school she purchased her first horse and began competing in eventing at the local level. During her junior career she had the opportunity to ride and compete several different horses. Upon turning 18 she dove into working in the industry, including riding, barn management and grooming. Since then she has gone on to ride and compete hunter/jumpers and western dressage on the local and national level. She joined the Olympia Equine Ventures team in 2023 and loves the team and clients.
Morgan started riding horses when she was five years old and has been riding with OEV since 2013. She began working at OEV in 2016 by supporting the barn when OEV travelled to away horse shows. Over the years she has been involved in many aspects of the training program: aiding in rehab, treatments, and maintenance of program horses as well as organizing weekly supplements. Morgan enjoys spending time with her two personal horses, Vader (23) and Delilah (9). When she is not at the barn, Morgan practices structural engineering and enjoys spending time with her family, four cats, and thirteen chickens.
